In the run-up to and during Christmas, we asked for your help with two appeals as well as support for our Alternative Gifts. Your generosity was incredible! ...especially since times are so difficult for everyone right now, so thank you.
For our Feed a Family Appeal, we highlighted families trying to survive on impossible incomes as low as £180 per month. You raised enough to offer the cost of a month’s shopping 65 times over making sure these already vulnerable families don’t go without food.
Last month, we also told you about baby Dima. Born prematurely, he spent his first few months in intensive care. He was born to mum Orina at the Women’s Crisis Centre - she’d escaped her violent husband which left her penniless. You have raised £1,112.50 toward the cost of his care in the NICU. This will take a huge weight off his mum's mind.
Our Alternative Gifts that run every year were also well supported and raised over £8,000! Your gifts will top up the support needed for our projects during the year ahead.
