A Warm Welcome

During the last festive season, we fundraised to support people experiencing homelessness. As donations came in, many new faces arrived at the Men’s Crisis Centre, affirming just how needed this fundraising was!

Issaak had been homeless for years, drinking to survive the cold. One night, he woke up in hospital to find both his feet had been amputated due to frostbite. With no family or home, he ended up back on the streets. The Centre made space for him, providing warmth, care, and the support he needs to cope with his disability.

Victor, an orphan with learning difficulties, had endured a life of abuse. He lived in a barn with a friend until fire destroyed it, tragically taking his friend’s life. Injured and alone, the hospital discharged him after ten days. The Centre took him in and is helping him replace essential lost documents.

Vanya was homeless just a few months ago. Grieving the loss of his wife and child, he had lost everything. This former musician has rediscovered his love for music after months at the Centre and is now open to learning about the Lord. It’s stories like his that mean the world to us and the Crisis Centre teams.
