I wanted to write to you all because Love Russia has been navigating a season of significant change!

A Goodbye. Simon (pictured with me), our Director of Finance and Deputy Director, is stepping down after almost 12 years! Even before that, he and his wife, Ann, played a key role in summer camps. Simon’s dedication behind the scenes has strengthened the charity’s financial procedures, for which we are truly grateful. Thank you, Simon, for your wisdom and faithful service – we will miss you!
With this change, I will be taking on additional financial responsibilities, supported by our new bookkeeper who should be starting soon.
A Challenge. Earlier this year, we transitioned to our new Zempler bank account following the closure of our Lloyds account. Despite significant efforts to reach affected donors, we have lost over 30% of our regular givers. These losses equate to the funding we provide each month for the running costs of the Men’s and Women’s Crisis Centres.
A Reason to Keep Going. Love Russia's projects have had a profound impact over the years, helping people heal from all kinds of trauma and drawing many into a relationship with Jesus. We know it is God’s will to see Christ glorified in Russia.
A Heartfelt Ask. With difficult budgeting decisions ahead, please pray that we can rebuild our regular giving fund and maintain our commitments, which support so many people. If you don’t currently give regularly, please know that a commitment of just £5 a month can make a real difference – it could provide a family fleeing domestic violence with a night of safety at the Crisis Centre.
Thank you for your care and support.
Anna
(CEO for Love Russia Charity)
