Men's Crisis Centre

The 'House of Mercy' Men's Crisis Centre provides refuge for men facing homelessness, addiction, and other difficult life situations. Many residents are elderly and have become homeless due to family rejection.

This Christian-led facility addresses residents' basic needs for food, clothing, and shelter while guiding them toward complete rehabilitation and a relationship with Christ, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to the community.

The need

Russia has long been known for its widespread problem with alcohol.
In fact, researchers once projected that one out of every two working-age men would die prematurely because of it. Today, 36.9% of men in Russia are alcohol dependent. This cultural issue, combined with poverty, means that many men are in desperate need of help.

What your donations do

Love Russia partners with a dedicated team whose life experiences make them ideal for helping people at the Men's Crisis Centre. This project has grown dramatically during the years we have worked alongside them in terms of its building, facilities and the number of men who need it.
Donations contribute towards general running costs, food and essentials like clothing, bedding and medicine.

Igor lost his parents in a fatal car crash. Raised by foster carers, whose interest was for financial gain, he was abandoned at the earliest opportunity. Believing he was to attend college and his accommodation arranged, he was left homeless as neither arrangement materialised.

He saw an advert for the MCC who gladly took him in and are helping him adjust to independence.
